Find Journal Entries in Quickbooks.
You will need to do the following in order to create a new journal entry:
Scroll down to the Company menu. General Journal Entries must be selected here.
Fill in the blanks to create your journal entry. After you're finished, double-check that your debits equal your credits.
Save or Save & Close should be selected.
Make changes to a journal entry
This is what you must do in order to edit a journal entry.
Open Quickbooks and then the Company menu. Making General Journal Entries is the option.
You must browse and select the journal entry that you want to edit:
In QuickBooks for Windows, enter: First, select Find. Now enter your Name, Date, and Entry Number. Later, press the Find button.
In QuickBooks for Mac, enter: Browse the list and select the journal entry. This can be found on the left side of the Make General Journal Entries window
Select the journal entry (in Mac) or double-click it (in Windows), and then make your changes. When you're finished, click Save or Save & Close.
Select Yes to make the changes possible.
Reverse an entry in a journal
You must go to the Company menu and select Make General Journal Entries.
Simply choose the journal entry to be reversed:
In QuickBooks for Windows, enter: You must select Find. Enter your Name, Date, Entry Number, and Amount. Select the Find option.
In QuickBooks for Mac, enter: Browse through the journal entries and select the one you want to reverse. This can be found on the left side of the Make General Journal Entries window.
Choose Reverse.
Choose Save or Save & Close.
The reversed journal entry includes a "R" next to the entry number, as well as any debit and credit amounts that have been reversed. Following the original transaction date, the new entry is dated the first day of the following month.
